RECRUITMENT PRIVACY INFORMATION
How we use your information
What we collect
The details you give in your application: personal and contact details, right-to-work and travel information, education, employment history, references, skills and experience, your answers to scenario questions, availability, any adjustments you ask for, your declarations and signature. Equality monitoring answers are optional and kept separately from the assessment of your application.
Why we use it
To assess your suitability for a care role, contact you, arrange interviews, carry out pre-employment and safeguarding checks, and meet our legal and regulatory duties.
AI-assisted review
We use an AI tool provided by OpenAI to help summarise and organise the job-related parts of your application and, where you consent to recording, to help the interview panel review a transcript. Your name, contact details, date of birth, address, right-to-work and health information, and your equality monitoring answers are not sent for application review. The AI gives advice only. People make every decision, and you can ask for a person to review any decision about you.
Who sees it
Our recruitment team and interviewers; service providers who host our systems and send our emails; and OpenAI, as described above. We do not sell your information.
How long we keep it
Saved but unsubmitted drafts are removed after 30 days. Unsuccessful applications are normally reviewed for deletion after 6 months. If you are employed, your information becomes part of your employment record.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, or ask for human review of a decision. To do so, contact the recruitment team using the details in your confirmation email. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
